ASSESSMENT INTEGRITY

Investigate hidden AI assistance with context

An integrity signal is a reason to investigate. Combine session evidence with the candidate’s work and their explanation before deciding.

01 / THE TASK

A practical starting point.

Before a pilot, define allowed AI use and run controlled scenarios with consenting internal testers: normal work, approved assistant use, and attempted hidden assistance. Compare browser and selected LunaPrompts Secure desktop sessions separately.

Adapt this example to the role, agree allowed tools, and give candidates the same instructions. It is a starting template, not a validated selection test.

What to collect

  • A written AI-use policy shared with candidates
  • A record of environment, tool version, scenario, and observed signals
  • A human-review process for flagged sessions and candidate explanations

02 / THE RUBRIC

Agree what good looks like.

Calibrate these suggested weights with your interviewers before the first candidate. Record the evidence behind each rating.

Suggested rubric · 100% total weight
CriterionWeightStronger evidenceNeeds investigation
Environment coverage25%Records browser or desktop runtime, OS, permissions, and tested tool version.Assumes a result on one device applies to every configuration.
Signal evidence30%Reviews timestamps and multiple corroborating observations.Treats a single alert as proof of cheating.
Authorship discussion25%Asks the candidate to explain their own implementation and choices.Uses unrelated trivia to judge authorship.
Review and resolution20%Records the reviewer’s reasoning and gives room for an explanation.Rejects automatically without considering context.

03 / ILLUSTRATIVE REPORT

From observation to follow-up.

Example only · not a real candidate result

Observed

The illustrative session contains a hidden-window signal. The candidate can explain the implementation, and an approved accessibility tool was running.

Reviewer’s next step

Investigate the environment and policy before making a decision. This example shows why an alert is not a misconduct finding.

Ask about their own work.

  1. Which signals are available in our chosen environment?
  2. How are approved tools distinguished from prohibited assistance?
  3. What evidence can reviewers inspect before taking action?

04 / SEE THE PRODUCT

Bring the brief to your demo.

This LunaPrompts product walkthrough introduces the integrity workflow. Ask the team to demonstrate your exact task, chosen tools, and report requirements in the environment you plan to use.

The walkthrough shows the product. It is not a recording of the illustrative exercise above or an independent performance benchmark.
