A connector appears in the marketplace. That is useful, but the recruiter has more specific questions: where do I send the assessment, where does the report return, and what happens if the candidate has two applications?

An integration should be evaluated as a workflow. The demonstration that matters follows one candidate from the correct application to a reviewable result, including an exception.

The short answer

LunaPrompts ATS integrations connect technical assessments with the applicant tracking systems your hiring team uses. The aim is to help recruiters initiate evaluation and access useful results within an established hiring process.

Start from the right application

The recruiter selects the configured assessment stage and test.

ATS → assessment invitation
Check the role and application association, not just the person’s email.
Original editorial example. Select a step to pause and explore it. The full scenario is explained below.

Use a test candidate and a non-production hiring workflow approved by your team. Create the assessment invitation from the relevant ATS application. Verify the selected assessment, the candidate-facing message, and where progress appears.

Complete the task and inspect the return path. Does the right application receive the result? Can the authorized interviewer open the detailed report? Is the visible state distinguishable from a candidate who has only started? Record the exact behavior for your system rather than assuming another ATS works the same way.

Then exercise one exception that matters to your process. Cancel an assessment, check how a resend is handled, or review what happens if the same person has another application. Document the owner and recovery procedure. These checks prevent a recruiter from discovering an ambiguous state during a live campaign.

For Greenhouse, use the vendor’s documented LunaPrompts assessment-stage workflow as the starting point. For Ashby, confirm the enabled actions and result access for your account. For Workday or another enterprise system, establish the supported connection and scope before planning rollout. A logo list cannot substitute for that agreement.

Greenhouse integration

LunaPrompts has a documented Greenhouse Recruiting integration. Recruiters can add an assessment stage to a job's interview plan, send a configured test, and receive candidate scores and evaluation reports when the assessment is complete. Setup involves enabling the integration and configuring the assessment stage. Source: Greenhouse's LunaPrompts integration guide.

This provides a concrete assessment handoff: the recruiter starts from the hiring workflow, the candidate completes the task, and the team returns to the evidence when deciding the next step.

Ashby integration

LunaPrompts includes an Ashby assessment integration for selecting, starting, and canceling assessments through the configured hiring workflow.

During setup, map how your team will access assessment results and which candidate fields the workflow needs. This gives recruiters a clear view of what happens at each stage.

Workday and additional enterprise systems

Hiring through Workday? Discuss your enterprise setup with the LunaPrompts team to establish the supported connection, assessment workflow, and implementation requirements for your environment.

If your team uses another ATS, bring its name and the workflow you need to the integration discussion. The team can review the available options against your requirements.

Define the integration by the hiring task

A useful integration discussion starts with the work a recruiter needs to do:

  1. Where is the assessment initiated?
  2. How is the candidate associated with the right role and application?
  3. Which assessment states are visible in the ATS?
  4. Where do scores and detailed evidence appear?
  5. How are cancellation, retries, and incomplete submissions handled?

These details matter more than a logo on a feature page. They determine whether the integration saves manual work for your actual process.

A review framework your team can use

The following is an editorial checklist for this workflow. Adapt it to the role, the candidate journey, and your configured environment.

Review areaWhat to establish
IdentityCandidate and application association
ActionsSelect, invite, cancel, and supported retries
ResultsStates, score fields, and report access
OperationsErrors, ownership, and recovery
A mistake worth avoiding

Do not assume all connectors are equivalent or describe an unverified system as a native integration. Publish and evaluate the scope actually supported.

Put the guide to work

Run one invitation-to-report round trip and one exception in a test workflow. Record the observed behavior in the downloadable acceptance checklist.

Download the editable worksheet to record the decisions and open questions with your team. The examples in this guide are illustrative, not customer results or validated selection rules. Product availability and setup depend on the workflow agreed for your account.

Frequently asked questions

Does LunaPrompts replace our ATS?

An integration is intended to connect assessment work to the ATS you already use. LunaPrompts' Talent CRM is a separate capability for organizing candidate workflow within the platform.

Are all integrations identical?

No. Supported actions, data fields, and setup requirements can vary by system and configuration. Establish the required workflow before rollout.

What if our ATS is not listed here?

Ask the LunaPrompts team for the current integration catalog and describe the workflow you need. Confirm system-specific coverage before planning the rollout.
