Languages
English (en), French (fr), German (de), Italian (it), Spanish (es)Source for Languages (opens in a new tab)

Exactly five supported languages. The model guide allows several candidates for detection, while the API introduction says pass exactly one; a single explicit language is the clearest common contract.

Context caching
Not collected
Language switching within audio
Not supportedSource for Language switching within audio (opens in a new tab)

Once a language is selected or detected, it remains fixed for the file.

Audio duration limits
Prerecorded: 135 minutes per request; Enterprise up to 4 h 15 minSource for Audio duration limits (opens in a new tab)

These are API file-duration limits, not model context tokens.

Maximum audio file
1,000 MB per prerecorded fileSource for Maximum audio file (opens in a new tab)
Audio formats
AAC, AC3, EAC3, FLAC, M4A, MP2, MP3, OGG, Opus, WAVSource for Audio formats (opens in a new tab)

Audio tracks are also accepted from 3G2, 3GP, AVI, FLV, M4V, Matroska, MOV, MP4 and WMV containers. No visual analysis is implied.

Output formats
JSON transcript with words, utterances, timestamps and confidence; optional SRT/VTT subtitlesSource for Output formats (opens in a new tab)
diarization
SupportedSource for diarization (opens in a new tab)

Documented for prerecorded files. Speaker-count values are hints, not enforced minimum/maximum counts. Channel splitting is a different feature.

Custom vocabulary
Phoneme-based post-processing with optional plain-text pronunciation variants and intensity 0–1Source for Custom vocabulary (opens in a new tab)

Does not retrain the model. The guide recommends focused lists and warns about false-positive replacements; no hard vocabulary-list limit is published.

Fine-tuning methods
Enterprise plan advertises custom models and fine-tuning by agreementSource for Fine-tuning methods (opens in a new tab)

Supported base versions, dataset requirements, training limits, custom artifact selectors and pricing are not specified. No self-service fine-tuning API is inferred.

Access & pricing

Prices belong to an endpoint and billing tier. A provider listing does not guarantee access for every account or region.

API model ID
solaria-3

Top-level model parameter; omission defaults to solaria-1.

Access
POST https://api.gladia.io/v2/pre-recorded with audio_url, model and options; upload first or provide an external URL. Receive callback/webhook or poll results when retention settings allow.
Regions
EU and US regional infrastructure; verify account routing for this transport

Audio channels
1–2 channels; channels detected from the source fileSource for Audio channels (opens in a new tab)
Concurrent requests
Free: 3 active jobs. Paid defaults: 25 active jobs plus up to 300 queued. Enterprise by agreement.Source for Concurrent requests (opens in a new tab)
Billing basis
Stereo with different content bills twice; identical-content channels bill onceSource for Billing basis (opens in a new tab)
Languages
en, fr, de, es, itSource for Languages (opens in a new tab)

No code switching; pass one explicit language while conflicting multi-candidate instructions remain unresolved.

Streaming
Not supportedSource for Streaming (opens in a new tab)

Asynchronous completed file result, not a live stream.

diarization
SupportedSource for diarization (opens in a new tab)

Documented for prerecorded files. Speaker-count values are hints, not enforced minimum/maximum counts. Channel splitting is a different feature.

Translation pipeline
Optional transcript translation; base and enhanced documented in feature guide; batch additionally appears in schemaSource for Translation pipeline (opens in a new tab)

No independent creator/checkpoint ownership established. Translation does not produce speech audio.

Entity recognition pipeline
Optional NER, labeled Alpha in its guideSource for Entity recognition pipeline (opens in a new tab)
Sentiment analysis pipeline
Optional sentence-level sentiment and emotion analysis of transcript textSource for Sentiment analysis pipeline (opens in a new tab)
Transcript redaction
Optional PII text redaction with markers or masks and configurable entity presetsSource for Transcript redaction (opens in a new tab)

A preset name does not certify legal compliance or prove redaction of the source audio.

Rate conditions

  1. Published pay-as-you-go rate through prepaid credit wallet. Same plan rates for supported Solaria models. Core audio-intelligence features are bundled; Audio-to-LLM uses external model rates plus an unspecified platform fee. Different-content stereo channels are billed as two audios; identical-content channels are billed once. Custom Enterprise bundling and prices require a quote.
  2. Advertised lower bound requiring upfront commitment and volume agreement; not a universal pay-as-you-go price.

Data & enterprise terms

Paid defaults: audio and transcripts 3 weeks, API metadata 1 year, logs an unspecified limited period. Free defaults retain all four data types for 1 year. Enterprise custom retention value 0 means deletion within 24 hours; separate ZDR means ephemeral processing and no later retrieval. ZDR disables file upload and polling: supply an external audio URL and receive callbacks. The compliance hub says no training without explicit agreement; a pricing blog says Starter training may be enabled by default, so confirm the applicable account agreement.

Caching

Caching can reuse earlier input processing. Availability, lifetime and billing depend on the endpoint. A cache hit still generates a new response.

01 / INITIAL INPUTProcess & retain

The system processes eligible input and retains reusable state.

02 / LATER REQUESTCheck available state

Reuse depends on matching input, session state and the cache policy.

03 / CACHE HITReuse & generate

Reusing state can reduce repeated work. Any charges follow the billing rules below.

The record behind the model

Why it is included

Gladia describes Solaria-1 and Solaria-3 as its internally trained production speech models. Its licensed service reserves model/algorithm rights and exposes inference rather than model weights. Solaria-1’s documented Whisper-derived ensemble ancestry does not turn the proprietary combined service into a public-weight Whisper release.
