Model notes

Image and Q-series/older video records plus Audio 1.0, current S1, beta S2 Avatar and S2 Editing reviewed. Standalone speech model identity, extra video routes, hosted deployments and global coverage remain incomplete.

The older official MCP descriptions cap prompts at 1,500 characters and reference images at three. The 2025-08-26 release notice increases references to seven; the 2025-09-17 API-wide notice increases prompts to 2,000. A current model-specific parameter contract is not established.

MCP function defaults target Q1 and can conflict with the model-specific prose, including 5-second duration and 1080p defaults. The listed Vidu 1.5/2.0 values come from model-specific descriptions, not generic Python defaults.

Weights, architecture, parameter counts, caching, streaming, batch and customer fine-tuning are not established by these video contracts. Unknown does not mean unsupported.
